Responsibilities

The mission of the Assembly Sergeant-at-Arms Department is to uphold the tradition of excellence in its service and protective duties to the Assembly. Equipped with state of the art resources and best practices, the department strives to prevent and mitigate threats to Assemblymembers, protected sites and protected events. The Sergeant-at-Arms Department will continue to strengthen its capabilities by improving technological preparedness and enhance operational processes and logistics. The Sergeants Department is dedicated to accomplishing their mission through integrity, commitment, and service. By maintaining a tradition of excellence and superior service, the Assembly Sergeant-at-Arms Department is prepared to meet the demands of its future.
